Sour Lemon Pickle

Sour Lemon pickle is a delicous variety of lemon pickle without adding red chilli powder

Lemon - 5
Green Chillie - 5
Gringer - 1 small piece
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Water - 1 Cup
Salt - 4 tablespoon

For Seasoning:
Oil - 1 teaspoon
Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
Hing - 1/2 teaspoon

  • Chop the lemons into slightly bigger pieces and keep it aside in a jar or a bottle.
  • Chop the green chillies and ginger
  • Add turmeric powder, green chilli and ginger to the chopped lemons
  • In a pan pour the water and bring it to boil and add the salt and let the water starts to boil
  • Then cool the water and add it to the lemon pieces
  • In a pan, pour the oil and add the mustard seeds. When the mustard sees starts to sputter add the hing and fry for while and add these to the lemon pieces and shake it well
  • The yummy lemon pickle is ready to serve after 2 days
