Peas Masala Gravy
Peas Masala Gravy is a very good side dish for chapatis. We can prepare this dish easily with available ingredients in any home.

Ingredients:
Peas1 Cup
Potato1
SaltTo Taste
Coriander Leavesfew
Garam Masala1 Teaspoon


For Grinding:
Onion2
Tomato2
Cumin Seeds/Jeeragam1/2 Teaspoon
GingerOne Small Piece
Green Chilli2


For Seasoning:
Oil2 Teaspoon
Cumin Seeds/Jeeragam1/2 Teaspoon


Method:

  • Soak the peas over night in water and the next day, pressure cook the peas along with pinch of salt and turmeric along with potato and keep it aside.
  • Peel the cooked potato skin and chop it into pieces and keep this aside
  • Chop the onions, tomatoes, green chillis, ginger and add it to the mixer
  • Grind the above ingredients along with cumin seeds to a fine paste
  • Heat the oil in pan and add the cumin seeds when the oil is hot
  • When the cumin seeds begins to sputter, add the ground masala paste and allow the gravy to cook till the raw smell goes off
  • When the ground masala paste is cooked completely, add the peas and potato and add required salt and mix it well.
  • Add the garam masala and remove the gravy from flame.
  • Finally garnish with coriander leaves.
  • The yummy Peas Masala Gravy is ready to serve hot with chapatis.
