Sesameseeds(Yellu) Kuzhambu
- Yellu(Sesame Seeds) kuzhambu is one of my favourite dish and it will be very delicious if we mix it with white rice.
Ingredients:Black Yellu(Sesame Seeds): 3tablespoon Red chilli: 5 Thur daal 1tablespoon Urdal 1 tablespoon Chopped big size coconut 5 Tamarind 1 small lemon size Salt To Taste
For Seasoning:Oil: 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds: 1 teaspoon
Method:- Soak the tamarind in water and extract the juice and keep it aside
- Fry the coconut in flame directly till it turns golden brown color
- Dry fry the Yellu(Sesame Seeds) in a pan till it starts to sputter and add this to mixer
- Pour some oil in pan and fry the red chilli, and the daals and fry it till the daal turns golden brown color
- Add these to mixer and grind it to a paste
- Heat the pan and add oil
- To this add mustard seeds and when the mustard seeds starts to sputter, add tamarind juice extract
- To this add salt and allow the tamarind mixture to boil till raw smell goes off.
- Now add the ground Yellu(Sesame Seeds) mixture and allow the kuzhambu to boil
- The yummy Yellu(Sesame Seeds) kuzhambu is ready to serve with rice
