I tasted this wonderful recipe in one of my friends house and the taste was extraordinary. Capsicum is a healthy and tasty vegetable. We can do this Capsicum masala curry using only with green Capsicum or green bell pepper. But I tried this with both green and red bell pepper and it turned out more tasty. This goes great with Chapati/Roti and Rice. Try this wonderful recipe and let me know your comments!!!

Cooking Time 20 mins

Green Capsicum1
Turmerica Pinch
Coriander Powder2 teaspoon
Grated Coconut2 tablespoon
SaltTo Taste
Red Chilli Powder1 teaspoon
Chopped Coriander Leaves1 tablespoon

Ingredients For Seasoning:
Mustard Seeds1 teaspoon
Oil2 teaspoon
Cumin Seeds1 teaspoon
Curry Leavesfew

  1. Wash and finely chop the capsicum and keep it aside. Powder the grated coconut and keep it aside

  2. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds when the oil is hot. When the mustard seeds starts to sputter add cumin seeds and curry leaves and saute them for 2 minutes
  3. Now add finely chopped onions and saute them by adding a pinch of salt. The salt added brings out the moisture from onions and help to saute them evenly and quickly

  4. Add ginger-garlic paste and mix well

  5. Then add the chopped capsicum, turmeric powder and mix well. Keep in medium flame and allow it to cook for 2 minutes

  6. Add needed salt, coriander powder, powdered coconut, red chilli powder and mix well

  7. Keep it in very low flame and cook for another 10 minutes. Never cover the pan with the lid.  This will result in more moisture and water in the capsicum.
  8. Add chopped coriander leaves and remove from flame.
