Oats Smoothie, a wonderful and healthy breakfast dish. When we think of oats, the first thing comes to our mind is porridge and other easy breakfast dishes like oats idli, oats dosa etc. But when compared to other ways of preparing oats dishes, oats smoothie are very healthy and tasty and fills our tummy. We can have variety of Oats smoothie with many combinations of fruits and nuts. The main three ingredients such as oats, honey (or Sugar), milk and yogurt. Rest are combination of fruits and nuts.

I have given here 4 different varieties of Oats Smoothies. But we can surely try many more different combinations. For more sweetness, I have used honey instead of sugar to make the smoothie healthier.You can also add sugar instead of honey as an alternative. We can also make more quantities of smoothies and store it in a airtight container and put it in freezer so that we could have it in little quantities each day. If you are planning to freeze it, remember to move it from freezer to fridge the night before you want to consume. We can also prepare it fresh every day and consume it. But always remember to refrigerate atleast 4 hours before consuming to have a wonderful taste. If your smoothie is very thick, you can add little milk mix it well to make it a drinking consistency.

1. Mixed Fruit(Strawberry Pineapple Banana) Oats Smoothie:

Yield2 Cups

Ingredients:

Oats1/4 Cup
Milk3/4 Cup
Fresh Curd (Thick)1/4 Cups
Chopped Pineapple1 tablespoon
Strawberry 10
Banana1
Honey1 tablespoon
Vanilla Extract1/4 teaspoon


Method:
  1. Finely chop the pineapple, strawberry and banana and keep it aside

  2. Dry roast the oats for 2-3 minutes in a pan and then grind it to a nice powder in a mixer

  3. First add the chopped fruits to the mixer and grind it to a paste. Then add oats powder, curd, milk, honey and vanilla extract and grind it to a nice smoothie

  4. The yummy mixed fruit smoothie is now ready to refrigerate for 4 hours. Serve them cold after 4 hours. We can store it in a airtight container and freeze it and have it later also

2. Apple Cinnamon Oats Smoothie:

Ingredients:

Oats1/4 Cup
Milk3/4 Cup
Fresh Curd (Thick) 1/4 Cups
Apple1
Cinnamon1 small stick
Honey1 tablespoon
Vanilla Extract1/4 teaspoon


Method:
  1. Finely chop the apple and keep it aside
  2. Dry roast the oats for 2-3 minutes in a pan and then grind it to a nice powder in a mixer
  3. First add the chopped apple and cinnamon stick to the mixer and grind it to a paste. Then add oats powder, curd, milk, honey and vanilla extract and grind it to a nice smoothie
  4. The yummy Apple Cinnamon smoothie is now ready to refrigerate for 4 hours. Serve them cold after 4 hours. We can store it in a airtight container and freeze it and have it later also
Chocolate Peanut Butter Oats Smoothie:

Oats1/4 Cup
Milk3/4 Cup
Fresh Curd1/4 Cups
Cocoa Powder1 teaspoon
Peanut Butter*1 teaspoon
Honey1 tablespoon
Vanilla Extract1/4 teaspoon

* Peanut Butter is easily available in all the super markets

Method:
  1. Dry roast the oats for 2-3 minutes in a pan and then grind it to a nice powder in a mixer
  2. First add the peanut butter and cocoa powder and give a pulse in the mixer. Then add oats powder, curd, milk, honey and vanilla extract and grind it to a nice smoothie
  3. The yummy Chocolate Peanut smoothie is now ready to refrigerate for 4 hours. Serve them cold after 4 hours. We can store it in a airtight container and freeze it and have it later also

4. Cherry Vanilla Oats Smoothie:

Dried Cherries1 tablespoon
Honey1 tablespoon
Vanilla Extract1 teaspoon


Method:
  1. Dry roast the oats for 2-3 minutes in a pan and then grind it to a nice powder in a mixer
  2. First add the cherries and dry cherries and give a pulse in the mixer. Then add oats powder, curd, milk, honey and vanilla extract and grind it to a nice smoothie
  3. The yummy Cherry Vanilla smoothie is now ready to refrigerate for 4 hours. Serve them cold after 4 hours. We can store it in a airtight container and freeze it and have it later also
