Crumbled or grated Paneer cooked in spicy tomato Onion gravy and used as a filling for sandwich. A perfect healthy filling breakfast. Some kids don't like to have veggies like raw onions, tomatoes, capsicum. Most of the kids love paneer in any form like gravies or stuffed paratha etc, this crumbled Paneer stuffed sandwich would be a treat to them. My kids love this Paneer Bhurji Sandwich for their sunday breakfast along with ketchup and a glass of orange juice. This would make a perfect breakfast!

  1. Crumble the paneer and keep it ready. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and allow it to sputter. Add chopped onions and sauté the onions till translucent.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté along with onions. When the onions become translucent, add the chopped tomatoes and sauté in oil.
  3. To the tomato mixture, add coriander powder, red chili powder, amachoor powder and salt and mix well. Add crumbled paneer and give a good mix
  4. Finally add garam masala and garnish with coriander leaves. Paneer Bhurji is ready!
  5. Take 2 pieces of bread ( we can use any bread white or brown or multi grain ). Spread one side of each bread with either ketchup or green chutney. Keep 1 Tablespoon of the prepared Paneer Bhurji on one bread and close it with other bread
  6. Brush ghee on the top of the closed bread. When the sandwich maker is ready, place the ghee brushed side of the bread down in the sandwich maker. Apply ghee on the top side of the bread
  7. Cook the sandwich till the maker indicates 'Ready'. Gently open the sandwich maker and take out the grilled sandwich. Cut into halves and serve hot! We can also use tawa to toast the sandwich.
  8. The delicious Paneer Bhurji Sandwich ready! Serve with any dip of your choice and enjoy the breakfast!
