Phirni is a very popular Indian Dessert and one such delicious sweet pudding which is loved and devoured by anyone. Its so creamy and rich with nuts. We can always make plain phirni, but with added mango pulp, this is the most lip-smacking dessert ever. Phirni is more like our Paal Payasam, with the variations that we use short grained rice and also its served hot at the start of the meal. In the north, Phirni is usually prepared using crushed rice or long grained Basmati rice and is served cold after the meal!

Hi, what a wonderful recipe! Please tell me, is that a layer of mango on top? It’s not mentioned in the recipe. How do I achieve that layer?
Thank you .
the top layer is just the mango pulp. Add first the phirni and then top with mango pulp and then refrigerate it
