Cabbage Balls Recipe | Crispy Cabbage Dumplings

We can make Crispy and crunchy dumplings with Cabbage onions. This is a very delicious snack and a great evening time snack for kids or adults. Crispy Cabbage Balls with hot cup of coffee / tea is a best combination.

Ingredients:
Thinly Sliced Cabbage 2 Cups*
Onion 1 Thinly Sliced
Green Chilli 2 Finely Chopped
Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves 1/4 Cup
Curry Leaves  Few
Gram Flour 3 Tablespoon
Corn Flour 3 Tablespoon
Rice Flour 3 Tablespoon
Red chilli Powder 1 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste
Oil For Deep Frying

* 1 Cup = 250ml

Method:

  1. Thinly slice cabbage. Steam cook the cabbage till they are half cooked and soft
  2. In a mixing bowl, add cooked cabbage, onions, green chillies, coriander leaves, curry leaves
  3. Also, add gram flour, corn flour, rice flour, salt & Red chili powder 
  4. Mix everything well. We don’t need to add any water. The moisture in the cooked cabbage & onion are enough to mix everything well
  5. Make small balls out of this cabbage onion mixture.
  6. Heat oil in a pan. When the oil is hot enough, add 4-5 cabbage balls in the hot oil and deep fry them till they are crispy & golden brown
  7. Remove the crispy Cabbage balls from oil and place it in paper towel to drain excess oil
  8. Serve the crunchy Cabbage Rolls with hot tea / coffee and enjoy the dish!

I tried this. Outside is brown n crispy but Inside remains raw. I fried in hot oil for at least 5 mins.

Fry them on medium flame so they are well cooked inside and out.

I have Airfryer .please post South Indian vegetarian recipes do with Airfryer.
