Cauliflower Peas Curry | Cauliflower Dry Curry Recipe
Equipments Needed
- Mixer Grinder
- Heavy Bottomed Pan
Ingredients
- 1 nos Cauliflower big
- 1 nos Onion big
- 2 nos Tomato medium
- 2 tbsp green peas
- 1 sprig Curry leaves
- 1 tsp Salt adjust to your taste
Masala Ingredients
- ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- ½ tsp Garam Masala Powder
For Tempering
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
Instructions
Blanching the Cauliflower
- Cut the florets from the cauliflower bunch.
- Heat a sauce pan full of water and bring it to boil and switch off the flame. Add the cauliflower florets to the boiling water and close it with lid. Let the florets stand in hot water till we prepare the masala.
Preparation
- Finely chop the onions and set it aside.
- Roughly chop the Tomatoes and puree it in a Mixer. Keep this aside
Making of Cauliflower Dry curry
- Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds. When the cumin seeds starts to sputter add the curry leaves.
- Add chopped onion along with a pinch of salt and saute the onions till it becomes nicely brown.
- With this add the Tomato Puree. Add turmeric powder and saute the tomato puree
- Now, add red chilli powder and coriander powder and allow the masala to cook in medium flame
- Then add garam masala and allow the masala to cook nicely.
- Drain water from cauliflower and add the florets to the pan and give a nice toss
- Add salt and Sprinkle some water and cover the pan with a lid and allow the florets to cook for 5 minutes. Add green peas to the pan.
- Toss the pan so that peas are also nicely coated with spices. Then keep the an in low flame for another 10 minutes and then switch off the flame. Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
- Yummy Cauliflower Peas Curry is now ready to serve! Relish with Indian Breads and enjoy the dish!
