Iyengar Bakery Style Vegetable Masala Toast
Equipments Needed
- Heavy Bottomed Pan
- Dosa Pan
Ingredients
- 8 nos. Bread Slices
- 1 tablespoon Butter for brushing Breads
- 1 teaspoon Salt adjust to your taste
Vegetables
- 1 nos Onion finely chopped
- 1 nos Tomato finely chopped
- 1 nos Carrot finely chopped
- ½ nos Green Capsicum
- ½ cup Chopped Cabbage
- 2 tablespoon Coriander Leaves chopped, For Garnishing
Masala Items
- ½ teaspoon Red Chili Powder
- ½ teaspoon Garam Masala
- ¼ teaspoon Chaat Masala
Tempering
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 1 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
Instructions
Start with Seasoning
- Heat oil in pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and allow it to sputter. Add green chillies and sauté it in oil
Stir-Fry Veggies
- Add chopped onions and sauté in oil till translucent. Add chopped tomatoes, carrot, green capsicum and cabbage and stir- fry all the veggies
Spice it up!
- Add red chilli powder, garam masala, chaat masala, salt and mix well. Cover the pan with lid and allow the veggies to cook till soft
Garnishing
- Once the veggies are cooked, garnish with coriander leaves. The Vegetable Masala ready!
Prepare the Bread
- Heat the tawa. Take 2 bread slices and brush one side of them with butter. Keep the buttered side down on the tawa. Brush the top side again with ghee and toast the bread slices and take it to serving plate. Add 2 Teaspoon of filling to each toasted bread
