The same can be done with microwave oven.. Thats even simpler.. All the above ingredients should be mixed, cooked in high heat in microwave for 3-4 minutes stirring the mixture and scrapping the sides of the vessel..
Thanks for sharing Sridevi, I will surely give a try.

Hi Roshini, shelf life of peda is generally 5-7 days.
Hi Subbu,
I am away from home in Manila Philippines, trying your recipes at free times. Kalyana Rasam came out well. As we get only blenders here, i tried to use the measures four times and made a powder that can be used any time.
In the peda, you have put milk powder 4 cups *. I could not find any explanation down below for *- Any suggestion on that.?
Kannan
Hi Kannan, Thanks for your comments and glad that the Kalyana Rasam turned out very well. For Peda, i have updated the * (1 cup = 250 ml).
Hi,
What kind of milk powder do I have to use here
Hi Vanotha, we can find dry milk powder in departmental stores. Indian departmental stores have nestle everyday skimmed milk powder which you can use.
Hi,
Today I tried this peda.. It tastes well.. But got more lumps & it was little hard too… Can u suggest sum remedies for this
Hi Gayathri, we have to keep stirring the milk powder continuously to avoid the lumps also after we got a dough consistency, when we are able to handle the dough with our hand, we can knead well so that lumps are smoothened. The ratio given above makes softer peda, but if you feel it is very hard, you can add some ghee and knead well again.
I tried to knead but it's sticky…
Gayathri, grease palm with ghee and then try to knead then you will not feel greasy.
same here aunty..it was sticky,…
How much milk is mixed with saffron?
Hello, just a tablespoon of milk is enough
I made this last year, but it turned out to be sticky in mouth. Is there a tip to not make it sticky?
same here…sticky in mouth..any tips/
