Rava Ladoo | Sooji Ladoo | Rava Laddu
Rava Ladoo is a traditional sweet bite made using Semolina (Rava / Sooji), Sugar and Ghee. It's one of the easy to make sweet which is soft and melts in the mouth. It can be made with or without coconut. It's a beginners recipe and one of the least complex sweet for Diwali.

- 1 cup Semolina (Sooji / Rava) 1 cup = 250 ml
- 1 cup Sugar adjust to your taste
- ¼ cup Ghee
- ¼ tsp Cardamom Powder
- 3 tbsp Cashews
Prepare the Rava & Sugar Mixture
Fry the Cashews
In a pan, heat a tablespoon of ghee. Add the cashews and fry until it turns golden brown color and keep it aside.
Heat the remaining ghee in a low flame and add cardamom powder
Start Making the Ladoo
We are going to make the Ladoo in small batches. Take a portion of ground Rava / Sooji mixture in a separate pan and add 1 ladle of ghee around the ground mixture
Add few cashews. Using a spoon mix the mixture well. Make sure that the ghee-rawa/sugar mixture is in a right consistency that lets you make small lemon sized balls. Adjust the quantity of Rava / Ghee if required.
Now take small quantity of Rava mixture in hand and press it hard to make it like a small ball.
Repeat the above steps for the remaining ground Rawa/Sooji mixture.
The delicious Rawa Laddu is ready for serving. Store it in an air tight container.
