Cabbage Stir-fry | Cabbage Dry Curry Recipe
Cabbage dry curry is an easy and quick stir-fry made with mild masalas and cabbage. This is a good accompaniment to roti, naan or with with rice varities.

- 500 grams Cabbage (1 small)
- 2 nos Carrot (optional)
- 1 nos Onion small
- 2 tablespoon Coriander Leaves finely chopped
- 2 tablespoon green peas (optional)
Spices
- 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
- ½ teaspoon Red Chili Powder
- ¼ teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- ½ teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1 teaspoon Salt adjust to your taste
Other Ingredients
- 2 teaspoon Oil
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
Preparation
Shred the Cabbage lengthwise. For the stir-fry, thin lengthwise shredding is preferable.
Thinly slice the onion and keep it aside
Also slice the carrots lengthwise.
Making of the Cabbage Stir-Fry
When the cumin starts to crack, add the onions and mix nicely in the oil. Add pinch of salt which helps to cook the onion quickly.
Add the spices - Turmeric powder, Coriander powder and Red chili powder and mix well.
When the onion is cooked add the vegetables - Cabbage, Carrot & Green Peas. Mix the vegetabels well with the onion and spices.
Lower the flame and close the pan with a lid. Allow the veggies to cook completely till they are soft and tender. We don't need to add water as cabbage by itself will release water while cooking.
Open the pan and check if the vegetables are cooked. Add garam masala and mix well. Also garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves
The delicious cabbage stir-fry is ready to serve with roti/naan/rice.
