Instructions
Grinding Process
Take Spinach, ginger, garlic, green-chili in a mixer jar and grind it to a smooth paste
Tempering Process
Start the Instant Pot in "Saute" mode. Add ghee to the hot pan. When the ghee is hot, add baby leaf, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and give a mix. Also add cumin seeds and allow it to sputter
Cooking Palak Pulao
Add onions and saute the onions till translucent. Then add the spinach paste to the pan and give a good mix
To that now, add the green peas, cubed potatoes and mix well
Next, wash and add the rice to the instant pot. Add a cup of water and salt. Give a gentle mix.
Cancel the "Saute" mode. Close the instant pot with the lid and turn the vent to "Sealing" position
Press the Pressure Cooker / Manual mode and set the timer for 5 mins. After the timer is off, allow the pressure to naturally release for 5 mins and then force turn the vent to release pressure.
Open the lid carefully and Pulao is all ready.
Serve the pulao with any raita of your choice and enjoy this healthy Pulao.
Notes
We can also add ghee-fried paneer once the pulao is ready.
