    5 nos Bread Slices
  • Now, add salt, red chili powder and mix well with your hand.
1½ tsp Salt, 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • Knead it to a smooth and stiff dough. Don’t add too much salt as we are going to add it to our filling also. Now our outer cover dough is ready.
  • Wash and Soak the poha in water for 10 minutes.
½ Cup Aval / Poha / Flattened Rice
  • Take the roasted peanuts in a mixer jar.
    2 tbsp Roasted Peanuts
  • Give couple of pulse to make it a coarse powder.
  • Drain water from poha and squeeze the poha to drain all water completely. Take the poha in a mixing bowl along with roasted peanuts, chopped green chillies, chaat masala, red chilli powder, salt, chaat masala and coriander leaves.
1 tsp Red Chili Powder, ½ tsp Chaat Masala, 1 tbsp Coriander Leaves, 1½ tsp Salt, 1 no Green Chili
  • Mix well. Make small balls out of the stuffing.
  • Now grease your palm and fingers with oil and take lemon sized ball out of the outer dough and roll it and press it in the middle and then make like a bowl.
  • Add one stuffing ball and gently close the dough.
  • Just wet your hands with water and seal the kachori nicely so that the filling doesn’t come out in the oil. Repeat the step 6 for the rest of the outer dough and filling.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Test the oil by dropping a tiny dough and if it raises immediately, then gently drop 2-3 kachoris in the pan and deep fry them in medium flame on both the sides, till they are golden brown color and becomes crispy outside. Remove the fried kachoris and place them in paper towel to drain excess oil.
    3 Cups Oil
  • Delicious Poha Kachori is now ready to serve. Serve with Ketchup or Green Chutney and enjoy your evening.
