Cabbage Rice
Cabbage Rice, a quick, easy to make healthy rice variety which is a perfect recipe for Kid's Lunch Box. Cabbage along with onions, peas are sauteed with salt, green chili and ginger. To this sauteed veggies, cooked rice is added and gently mixed. A very mild but so delicious rice with richness of vegetables.

- 1 cup Rice Cooked
- 2 cups Cabbage Shredded
- 1 nos Onion Sliced
- ¼ cup green peas
- 2 nos Green Chili Slit
- 1 teaspoon Ginger Finely Chopped
- To taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon Ghee
Tempering
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- 2 tablespoon Oil
- Few Curry leaves
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and one they start to sputter, add cumin seeds.
Then, add curry leaves, chopped ginger and slit green chilies and fry for few seconds
Then, add finely sliced onions and sauté.
One the onions are translucent, add shredded cabbage along with green peas to the pan. Add salt and mix well. Keep the flame in low and stir-fry the cabbage till the cabbage is cooked and becomes soft and tender.
Once, the cabbage is cooked, switch off the flame. Add the cooked rice and gently mix everything completely.
Then finally add ghee and serve hot! Perfect kids lunch box dish ready!
