Palak Dosa | Spinach Dosa | Keerai Dosai
If we have dosa batter at hands, then this Spinach (Palak) dosa is very easy and quick to make healthy breakfast with the richness of spinach.

- 4 Cups Dosa Batter
- 2 Cups Spinach
- 2 Green Chili
- 2" Piece Ginger
- ¼ teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 4 tablespoon Ghee / Cooking Oil For Cooking Dosa
Wash the spinach thoroughly. Heat 4 cups of water. Add ¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder and bring the water to boil
When the water starts to boil, add spinach. Add green chili and ginger and cook the spinach for 3-4 minutes and then switch off the flame
Drain the water from cooked spinach. Allow the cooked spinach to cool off completely. Add the cooked and drained spinach along with green chili and ginger and grind it to a paste
Add the ground paste to the dosa batter and stir well
Heat a tawa. Test the hotness of tawa by sprinkling little water. If the water sizzles then the tawa is ready.
Pour a ladle of batter and spread it to a thin dosa. Keep the flame in low. Add ½ teaspoon of ghee and allow the dosa to cook and becomes crispy and light brown
Gently using a spatula take out the cooked dosa in a plate. No need to flip the dosa as it is very thin.
The delicious Spinach dosa is now ready to serve!
- We can add a pinch of camphor or soda salt to maintain the green color of the spinach.
- We can cook the dosa in ghee to get crispy dosa. We can also cook in oil
