Healthy Mix Method II for Infants
This is another way to prepare healthy mix for the toddlers. This is the combination of both Raagi and Parboiled rice with nuts and spices.
Ingredients:
Ragi | 1/2 Kg |
Parboiled Rice | 1/2 Kg |
Samba Wheat | 200gms |
Barley | 100gms |
Cashew | 100gms |
Badam | 100gms |
Roasted Gram | 100gms |
Cardamom | 10 |
Method:
- Dry fry each ingredient one by one in a heavy bottomed pan till each becomes hot
- Take all the ingredients in a bag and grind it in a rice mill
- We can also grind it in a mixer by adding little quantities and sieve it nicely
- Once we grind the ingredients, keep the lid of the vessel opened for sometime, till the mix cools off
- The healthy mix is now ready to be prepared
Preparation Method:
- Take 2 teaspoons of healthy mix in a pan and mix it with 200ml of water.
- Keep this in flame and stir continuously
- Add palm sugar/cane sugar and stir well
- When the healthy mix reaches porridge consistency, remove from flame
- Add 1 teaspoon of ghee and allow the porridge to cool off and feed the toddler

Sorry but these recipes are not going along with WHO recomendations! Sugar and salt are not allowed in infants and are very harmful for them….. Nuts can be strong allergens.
