Mint Paratha Recipe | Pudina Paratha Recipe

Paratha (Indian flat bread) is one dish we can add lot of variations and fillings. Mint Paratha is one of the popular paratha variety in any Indian Restaurant. The mint (Pudina) gives a dominating flavor to the paratha. A very simple and delicious paratha variety. Mint Paratha (Pudina Paratha) Goes well with any raitha variety or any spicy gravy.

Ingredients:

Whole Wheat flour 2 Cups*
Chopped Mint Leaves  1 Cup
Cumin Seeds 1 teaspoon
Oil 2 tablespoon
Salt 1 teaspoon
Chaat Masala Powder(Optional) 1 teaspoon
Dry Mint Powder (Optional) For cooking Paratha
Ghee / Oil For cooking

* 1 cup = 250ml

Method:

  1. Take a mixing bowl, add wheat flour, cumin seeds, salt, mint leaves and mix well
  2. Add a tablespoon of oil and mix well. Add water little by little and knead it to a soft dough and cover it and set it aside for 10 minutes
  3. Make lemon sized dough balls out of the dough. Dust each dough balls and roll to thin paratha
  4. Spread little oil on the paratha. Sprinkle chaat powder and fold it in halves. Again spread oil on the fold paratha and sprinkle chaat powder and again fold it in half to make a triangle
  5. Again dust the paratha and roll it to thin triangle. Make similar paratha with rest of the dough balls
  6. Heat a pan. Keep the flame high. Cook each paratha one by one on both the sides. When one side of the paratha is cooked, flip it off and spread oil and sprinkle dry mint powder and again flip and cook on the other side and spread oil and sprinkle mint powder. Repeat the same and cook the rest of the rolled paratha
  7. Serve the delicious paratha with raitha or any spicy gravy and enjoy the dish!
