Onion Gotsu (Vengaya Gotsu) is one of the traditional and best accompaniment to Pongal (as well as for Idli & Dosa).  I have already published my version of Brinjal Gotsu. My friend's Sister shared with me how to make this Onion Gotsu, it was  so simple but so so tasty especially when served with Ven Pongal. For brinjal gotsu we need to use dal and it takes little more time than this onion gotsu. On the other hand, this Onion Gotsu is very quick to make.By the time the pongal is getting ready, this gotsu will be ready in no time.It will be slightly thin consistency only.

It's similar to Vengaya Puli Thanni, but with few variations. In Onion Gotsu, we don't use sambar powder, but just the red chili for the spiciness.
