Tomato Rice (No Onion – No Garlic) Recipe, a perfect South Indian Rice variety for those who doesn’t want to add Onion or Garlic in the food or wanted to avoid them when cooking the Tomato rice during  auspicious days. With sesame oil along with fresh tempering and spice powder, this is one of my personal favourite version of tomato rice.

Here the main uniqueness is the freshly ground spice powder. We fry dals and red chili and grind it to powder and add it to cooked tomatoes. Finally enrich the tomato rice with tempering. Very Quick and easy to make tomato rice and also good if it is an auspicious day when we don’t include onion.
