Bakery Style Vegetable Puff Recipe | Vegg Puff Recipe

Vegetable Puff, a very delicious evening snack in most of the office pantries and also in Indian Theatres. Also whenever we pass a bakery, we smell the delicious flavour of Vegg Puff. With Puff pastry sheets, its very easy to make the bakery style Vegetable puff at home. We just need to prepare the veggie filling and then use the filling in puff pastry sheets and bake it. A very simple to make Indian baking dish that would be given as evening snack!

Ingredients:

Boiled Mixed Vegetables
(Beans, Carrot,Peas, Potato)
1 Cup*
Puff Pastry Sheets 2 **
Onion 1 Finely Chopped
Tomato 1 Finely Chopped
Red chilli Powder 1 Teaspoon
Garam Masala ½ teaspoon
Salt To Taste
Oil 2 Teaspoon
Cumin Seeds 1 Teaspoon
Butter For coating Pastry Sheets
Coriander Leaves ¼ Cup

** I have used store bought Puff Pastry Sheet

Method:

  1. Thaw the puff pastry sheets as per the instructions given in the back of the store bought pastry box
  2. Pre-heat the Oven at 350 Degree F. Boil the mixed veggies and set that aside
  3. Heat a pan and add oil. When the oil is hot, add cumin seeds and allow it to sputter. Add finely chopped onions and saute in oil till they are translucent
  4. Then add tomato to the pan. Add salt, red chili powder, garam masala and mix well. Allow the tomato to cook till they are mushy
  5. Then add cooked veggies and mix well. Finally garnish with coriander leaves and switch off the flame. Now our filling is ready
  6. Take the Thawed pastry sheets. Cut into halves and make 6 pieces out of 1 sheet.
  7. Place 1 teaspoon of filling in one-half of each sheet and cover with other half and seal the edges
  8. Take a baking tray and line it with baking sheet. Spray some oil in the sheet. Place the sealed veg puff in the tray
  9. Bake it in pre-heated oven for 15 minutes. When the puff are baked, remove from oven and place it in cooling rack till they become warm
  10. Serve the warm and tasty bakery style Vegetable Puff and enjoy your evening snack!
