Mango Kalakand Recipe

Kalakand is a very popular Indian dessert made with Fresh Paneer, Condensed milk and garnished with nuts. We can enhance this plain kalakand by adding Mango puree and make it rich into Mango Kalakand. A very delicious mango flavoured Kalakand. Perfect dessert for any parties. Ingredients:
Mango Pulp 2 Cups*
Condensed Milk 1 Tin (14oz)
Crumbled Paneer 2 Cups
Chopped Pista 1 Tablespoon
Chopped Almonds 1 Tablespoon

* 1 Cup = 250ml

Method:

  1. Take a cake tin or container and grease it with little ghee and set it aside
  2. Heat a pan and add the mango pulp. Keep stirring the mango pulp and bring it to boil
  3. Add Crumbled Paneer. I have used store bought paneer and soaked in warm water and crumbled it. You can use the homemade Fresh paneer also. Stir the paneer well so that it gets incorporated with the mango pulp
  4. Then, add the condensed milk. Stir well
  5. Keep stirring till all the moisture is absorbed and the mixture turns into one single mass and stop sticking to the sides of the pan
  6. Pour the kalakand mixture to the greased pan. Pat it gently on the top to make it even. 
  7. Add chopped nuts and again pat it once more. Set it aside in refrigerator for 2 hours to set 
  8. After 2 hours, Take out the tray, cut the kalakand into desired shape pieces
  9. The delicious Kalakand is now ready to serve!
