Mochai Payiru (Butter Beans) Sundal is another sundal variety that we prepare for Navratri. It’s made using the dry Mochai and not the fresh one. Like any other Sundals, Mochai is also protein packed and highly nutritious. It’s very good source of cholestrol-lowering fiber.  For the offering to the god we usually don’t add onions. If you are making this Mochai Payiru sundal for an evening snack then you can add onion as well

In this method I have used Sundal Powder for the flavor and taste. Sundal Powder comes very handy for preparing sundal. For Navarathri,I recommend to make Sundal Powder once and keep it in stock as we need it for making Sundals for next few days during Navarathri. The taste of Mochai Payiru sundal is very nice and the texture is buttery. Very easy to prepare for navarathri.
