Tips for making Onion Pakoda:

  • 1:2 ratio of rice flour to gram flour helps to get more crispier pakoda.
  • Adding hot oil or ghee to the prepared flours helps in more crispness.
  • The moisture in the onions itself is enough for binding the flours with onions. But if you feel the mixture is dry, we can sprinkle little water and coat the onions properly.
  • While adding the pakoda mixture, try to crumble the mixture and add it that way the pakodas are not packed together.
  • Deep fry in low flame to make sure the pakoda gets fried without onions getting burnt.
