Buttermilk (Neer Mor)
Buttermilk, a yummy and healthy beverage to beat the summer heat. In olden days, in every house, women used to keep the buttermilk ready and they will treat their guests first with buttermilk and then only with other foods. Especially during peak summer, after working for long hours in heat, drinking butter milk is a great relief for us. Preparation of butter milk only takes less than 10 minutes and it is so good for health too as we are going to add ginger, hing and cumin powder.

|Yoghurt / Curd||1 Cup|
|Cumin Powder||1/2 teaspoon|
|Ginger||1 inch piece|
|Coriander Leaves||1 tablespoon|
* 1 Cup Capacity = 250ml
|Mustard Seeds||1 teaspoon|
- Take curd, water and salt and using a whisk mix it well. Add chopped ginger, green chillies, coriander leaves and cumin powder and mix well
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds and when the mustard seeds starts to sputter, add hing and curry leaves and fry for 10 seconds and remove from flame and add the seasoned ingredients to the buttermilk and mix well
- Serve the yummy and scrumptious buttermilk as such or serve chilled.
