Oats Smoothie, a wonderful and healthy breakfast dish. When we think of oats, the first thing comes to our mind is porridge and other easy breakfast dishes like oats idli, oats dosa etc. But when compared to other ways of preparing oats dishes, oats smoothie are very easy, healthy and tasty and fills our tummy. We can have variety of Oats smoothie with many combinations of fruits and nuts. The main ingredients are oats, honey (or Sugar), milk and yogurt. Rest are combination of fruits and nuts.
I have given here 4 different varieties of Oats Smoothies. But we can surely try many more different combinations. For more sweetness, I have used honey instead of sugar to make the smoothie healthier.You can also add sugar instead of honey as an alternative. We can also make more quantities of smoothies and store it in a airtight container and put it in freezer so that we could have it in little quantities each day. If you are planning to freeze it, remember to move it from freezer to fridge the night before you want to consume. We can also prepare it fresh every day and consume it. But always remember to refrigerate atleast 4 hours before consuming to have a wonderful taste. If your smoothie is very thick, you can add little milk mix it well to make it a drinking consistency.

Oats Smoothies are a healthy and tasty and fiber rich smoothies with richness of fruits which makes this a healthy start for a nice morning. This recipe shows a variety of 4 Oats smoothies: Mixed fruits, Mango-Ginger, Chocolate and Apple-Cinnamon Oats Smoothies. All 4 varieties are so rich and filling.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Oats I used Quacker Quick Oats. 1 Cup - 250ml

Mixed Fruits Oats Smoothie

  • ¼ Cup Oats Powder
  • ¾ Cup Milk
  • ¼ Cup Curd (Plain Yogurt)
  • ¼ Cup Pineapple Chopped
  • 1 Banana Chopped
  • 10 Strawberry Washed thoroughly
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • ¼ teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Apple Cinnamon Oats Smoothie

  • ¼ Cup Oats Powder
  • ¾ Cup Milk
  • ¼ Cup Curd (Plain Yogurt)
  • 1 Apple Washed and Chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon Cinnamon Powder or 1" Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • ¼ teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Chocolate Peanut Butter Oats Smoothie

  • ¼ Cup Oats Powder
  • ¾ Cup Milk
  • ¼ Cup Curd (Plain Yogurt)
  • 2 teaspoon Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Peanut Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Honey Adjust as Needed
  • ¼ teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Mango Ginger Oats Smoothie

  • ¼ Cup Oats Powder
  • 1 Cup Mango Chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger Chopped
  • ¾ Cup Milk
  • ¼ Cup Curd (Plain Yogurt)
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • ¼ teaspoon Vani

Instructions 

Preparing Oats Powder

  • Heat a pan. Add quick oats and dry roast the oats till you get a nice aroma.
  • Take the roasted oats in a mixer jar and grind it to smooth powder. We are going to use ¼ of the prepared oats powder for each of the smoothie

Mixed Fruits Oats Smoothie

  • Take chopped pineapple, strawberry, banana in a mixer jar. Grind it to a smooth paste
  • Then to the fruits paste, add ¼ Cup oats powder, honey, milk, curd and vanilla extract and grind everything to a smoothie

Serving Time!!!

  • Refrigerate for 4 hours and serve Mixed Fruits Oats Smoothie Cold and enjoy!!!

Apple Cinnamon Oats Smoothie

  • Take the chopped apple and cinnamon powder or stick in a mixer jar and grind it to smooth paste
  • To the ground apple paste, add milk, curd, ¼ cup oats powder, honey, vanilla extract and grind it to smoothly
  • Refrigerate for 4 hours and serve the delicious Apple Cinnamon Oats Smoothie!!!

Chocolate Peanut butter Oats Smoothie

  • Take ¼ cup of oats, milk, curd, vanilla extract, honey, cocoa powder and peanut butter in a mixer jar. Grind everything smootly
  • Refrigerate and serve the Chocolate Peanut butter Oats Smoothie Cold and enjoy the smoothie

Mango Ginger Oats Smoothie

  • Take the chopped mango, ginger and grind it to smooth paste
  • To the ground paste, add milk, curd, ¼ cup oats powder, honey, vanilla extract and grind everything smoothly
  • Refrigerate and serve Mango Ginger Oats Smoothie Chill and slurp!!!

Instructions to prepare Oats Powder:

  • Dry roast 1 Cup of oats for 2-3 minutes in a pan and then grind it to a nice powder in a mixer. We are going to use ¼ cup of this prepared oats powder for each smoothie.

  • Finely chop the pineapple, strawberry and banana and keep it aside
  • First add the chopped fruits to the mixer and grind it to a paste. Then add ¼ Cup of oats powder, curd, milk, honey and vanilla extract and grind it to a nice smoothie
