Having High running temperature?? Feeling Tired? Are you preparing food for "Just Delivered Mom" ? Want to start a porridge for 6 months old baby? Or just to have a rich and healthy porridge, then Parboiled Rice Porridge (Puzhungal Arisi Kanji) is the one and only best option for us.
My sister used to say that this porridge has a capability of bringing down the temperature and helps us to get strength we lost because of illness. Not only that, for new mom, this porridge used to be their supper atleast for a month as part of the Balanced Diet. It is the second good semi-solid food for the 6 month old babies other than Raagi porridge. We can prepare this porridge powder and store it in an air-tight container and use it whenever needed. Whenever we need to make, we can take 2-3 teaspoon of this powder and cook in boiling water. We can add salt or sugar according to our need. Also we can add buttermilk or rasam and make it more interesting.
