Veppampoo Pachidu

Ingredients:
Veppampoo(Neem Flowers) - 1 tablespoon
Jaggery - 2 tablespoon
Tamarind - 1 small lemon size
Rice flour - 1 teaspoon
Salt - To Taste

For Seasoning:
Oil - 1 teaspoon
Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
Red Chilli - 2
Hing - A Pinch

Method:

  • Soak the tamarind in water and extract the juice and keep it aside
  • Clean the Veppampo and keep it aside
  • Pour the oil in the pan, and add the mustard seeds once the oil is hot. When the mustard seeds begins to sputter add broken chillies and hing and fry for a while
  • Now add the veppampoo and fry till it becomes golden brown color
  • Add the tamarind extract and salt and let the mixture boils for sometime
  • Now add the jaggery to the boiling mixture. Add some water to rice flour and make it a paste and pour it to the boiling mixture and then switch off the flame
  • Now the Veppampoo Pachidi is ready to serve
