Sweet Potato Sweet Roti

Sweet Potato is a healthy vegetable than the normal potatoes. In my previous post, I have published how to make sweet potato roti which is a saltier version. Today, I am going to demonstrate how to do sweet roti's  using sweet potatoes which is a very suitable dish for picnic or for when we plan for packed dishes for travel.

Preparation Time 5 mins
Cooking Time  30 mins
Yield 15


Ingredients:
Wheat Flour 2 Cups
Sweet Potato 1 big size
Brown Sugar 2 tablespoon
Cardamom Powder 1 teaspoon
Ghee ¼ Cup

Method:

  1. Cut the sweet potatoes into bigger pieces and pressure cook it
  2. Once cooked the potatoes, smash it nicely
  3. Add brown sugar, cardamom to the cooked and smashed potatoes and mix well
  4. Mix well nicely to make it to a thick dough like our chapati dough
  5. Make small balls out of the dough and roll each one to a thin roti
  6. Heat a tawa and add the rolled roti and add little ghee to cook the roti. 
  7. Keep the flame in medium and when tiny bubbles start to appear, turn it on the other side and cook it by adding little ghee
  8. The mouth-watering sweet potato sweet roti is ready to serve. We can pack these and take it when we travel for a long time
