Aloo Raita Recipe | Potato Raita Recipe,  boiled potato added to beaten curd flavored with roasted salt, cumin powder, red chili powder, chaat masala along with coriander and mint leaves. Raita is a yogurt dip usually served with curries, Indian flat breads, Pulao or Biryani varieties. The conventional or more often raita variety we make regularly is Onion, Cucumber, mint and Boondhi. We can make Raita with many different vegetables and fruits. One such unique Raita is Aloo Raita. Very easy to make, quick and kids love to devour because of potatoes!

Raita, a yogurt dip served with pulao, roti and biryani recipes. Cooked potatoes are added to yogurt and mixed with roasted cumin, red chili powder, pepper and salt and served to make delicious Aloo Raita

Ingredients

  • 2 Potato Boiled, peeled, Cubed
  • 1 Cup Curd 1 Cup - 250ml
  • ½ teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Roasted Cumin Powder
  • a Pinch Chaat Masala
  • ½ teaspoon Salt Adjust as Needed
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Leaves Chopped
  • Few Mint Leaves Chopped

Instructions 

  • Wash the potatoes thoroughly and boil them. I have cooked potatoes in microwave for about 2 mins each side. Once the potatoes are cooked, peel the skin and cut into cubes and set it aside
  • Take the curd in a mixing bowl. Beat the curd with a whisk and adjust the consistency by addign water. To the curd, add red chili powder, cumin powder, salt, chaat masala and give a good mix
  • Then add cooked and cubed potatoes to the curd. Add chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves and give a good mix
  • Quick and tasty Aloo Raita is now ready to serve with any Pulao, Biryani or with Roti/Paratha!
